But I am BAck and here to tell you all about it.
Well Hi there. Yes it is I, the girl with the name behind this blog. Yes I am still alive and breathing. But boy oh boy has it been a while since I've shared my inner most thoughts on here. Welcome back.
I feel like I've done a lot of these types of posts this year. Admittedly, I have been the worst blogger in the world. Leaving massive gaps between content, barely even posting on Instagram. In all honesty, I just haven't quite been feeling myself. The past couple of months have been a constant cycle of good week, bad week, for a variety of reasons, mainly stress. Lucky for me (not) as some of you may know, my stress shows on my body in the form of Psoriasis, which came back a couple of months ago and has been hanging around ever since. There isn't anything overly dramatic happening, it is more so just everything piling up on top of each other, from the pressures of the final year of my undergrad to social life and work.
As a result, the blog has been left empty. Not because I haven't wanted to be blogging, but because every time I would try and write, the words just wouldn't come out. And likewise, every time I would try and film, I wouldn't be happy with the end product. I made the executive decision to not post at all, rather than post sub-par content, because I would never want to feed you anything less than great content. Because at the end of the day, you never know who's eyes will fall upon your work, and you definitely don't want someone with great weight reading a post you wrote in 20 minutes when you weren't feeling your best. Writers block is a real thing people.
Anyway, I just thought I would open up a blog post and force myself to start writing, so here we are. I'm sure most of you can relate to how I have been feeling in one way or another. The cold weather, the pressure of exams, the ever increasing list of things to do - it all seems to be piling up at the moment, and I feel like I can't catch a breath. However, it hasn't all been bad.
A couple of weeks ago, I went on a trip to Sydney for 48 hours with Bupa Australia. And I finally started to feel re-inspired. I think I just needed to go home (Sydney feels like home for me), and just take a break from everything back here in Perth. I also made the decision to create a whole new Instagram account, @magentaporter, in order to separate my private life from my blogging life. and really get professional. So, if you would like to keep up to date with any and all outfit posts, shoots, and blog related content, please help a girl out and hit that follow button. It definitely isn't easy starting an Instagram from scratch, but I am determined to make it work. If you are following my old account, which is now private, you will no longer see any of my fashion/lifestyle/travel content, which may have some of you jumping for joy (but I hope not).
I have uploaded a new Vlog to my channel, where you can catch me walking around Sydney, vintage shopping and my latest beauty routine, if you have a spare couple of minutes in between studying (which I am guessing most of you are doing at the moment). Sadly I will not be contributing to the Euro18 spam that is about to hit your Instagram feeds, instead, I will be spending the uni break soaking up the Perth rain (I actually love this weather), and heading over East for Splendour in the Grass, so keep your eyes peeled for lots of festival content to come. I have zero outfits planned thus far, so I am currently planning a Perth Vintage Shopping Guide, because I know a lot of you are getting sick of me telling you I buy all of my vintage items in Sydney, it's not exactly a 10 minute drive away.
Other than that, I hope you are all doing well. Once again, I am sorry for the semi hiatus, but I am BACK. I have provided the Vlog below for maximum accessibly for your viewing pleasure. Until next time, good luck to all of you exam goers, safe travels for my Euro18 friends (please don't spam me) and remember, don't forget your umbrella's kids, it's cold out there.
